Well, the IRL will change its entry series name from the Indy Pro Series to Firestone Indy Lights. This name was used in the past from 1986-2001.

Firestone signed a multi-year deal with the IRL for this new name so it should be this way for quite some time.

I don't know that I like the name. The logo yes. Indy Lights (Lites?) sounds like Marlboro Lites, or something along those lines. Indy Pro Series just sounds more credible.

I'm all for the name change. Indy Lights has more tradition to it. :)

It's fine, they need to get that series to be on TV somewhere. Even if it is on ESPN classic, the exposure is needed.
