Narai Karthikeyan is the first Indian in the history of Formula 1, but his season was not overly great. He had a solid season, but is it enough to secure him a future in F1?

I doubt he'll be able to continue in F1. He is currently in India trying to persuade sponsors for his cause...

I hope he will be out of F1 for good....

He arrived with a big hype around him, but he didn't had the results to justify all the media comments. His teammate Monteiro was in a similar (or worst?) position than the indian. In the first few races, Karthikeyan had the upper hand, but after Monaco (I think...) it was all for Monteiro.

I also think that the last race of the year reflects pretty much Narain desperate situation to have some good results: A great qualy lap, just to pit in after the formation lap for some fuel.... IMO, other than opening India to the F1 market (which is not good for the sport but for the business) I don't think he has contributed anything at all.

I don't think he's got what it takes just yet. :!: I agree with Carlis, but maybe he'll improve over time. It's difficult to tell really.
