American Charlie Kimball who's been driving for italian team Prema Motorsport has lost his financial backing and will not continue to run for the team, according to a press release from Prema.

Kimball:
"Unfortunately, I lost the support of one of my main financial backers, that previously allowed me to enter the Formula 3 Euro Series with Prema. Since I didn't have a 100% chance to end the season, I opted to slow down my programs to prevent any suffering on the team's side. I'll keep following the series for the remainder of the season."

Too bad. :(

Stefano Coletti will switch from Red Bull Signature to take Kimball's spot at Prema.

Maybe he can fill an empty Red Bull seat?:wonder: I hate to see Kimball lose his ride, but I'm sure it won't be long before we see him back in the seat somewhere.

Perhaps it's time to go back home and race. It's probably easier for him to get national sponsors than it is to get sponsors for European campaigns. He would probably lose all hope of F1 by going home, but realisticly (how do you spell that?) I think he's a bit too old in comparison to his competition and should age wise have been in GP2 or World Series by Renault already.

He would be a very good addition to either Atlantics or Indy Lights (I'm hoping he stays open wheel).
