Im not a fan of drag racing but I would like to open a thread with giving my respect to a 2 time NHRA champion, Scott Kalitta. He was killed Saturday, June 21st during a SuperNationals qualifying run at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in New Jersey. His car blew up halfway down the track and the chutes didnt deploy and he crashed into the fence at the end of the track.
He was 46 years old, married, and has 2 kids. The strange thing was is that he had retired twice but kept coming back to do what he loved.

It's always a sad thing when a race car driver is killed on the track. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and team.

Yeah, I didnt feel the need or desire to post it. Tragic.

I agree lizardfolk, some of the comments were very distasteful and unreal.
