My name is Matt, I live in NC and I am living my dream of being a race car driver. Last year I ran my first race at Hickory Motor Speedway in the Street Stock division, and just recently ran my second race, finishing with my first top 10 in only my second race.
Hope to get to know everyone here, cool site! :finishfirst:

Thanks for the welcomes...
I am racing to honor the memory of loved ones I have lost, all my race winnings are donated to charity in the memory of my mom, who passed away from a heart attack in 2003, and my best friend who was murdered by her husband in 2005. I got a late start on my career, but the way I see it, you're never too old to be a rookie. Most of the kids out there nowadays are barely old enough to spell superspeedway, but NOBODY, no matter who they are, ever got around being a rookie at some point in their life.
My very first race of ANY kind was last year at Hickory Motor Speedway, I qualified 10th and finished 12th. And just a month ago I ran my second ever race at Hickory, and I qualified 9th and finished 7th. I ran a Chevy Monte Carlo in the Street Stock division.
It may be an unconventional way of "chasing the racing dream", but I will not be happy until I get to Victory Lane. :finishfirst:
