As much as I'm a McLaren supporter, history tells me, at least since 2000, that reliability might be a problem once again.
Although the media likes to exaggerate the issue a bit, the McLaren PR Team continues to insist that their V8 engine has no problems, and that the reason they are not running it is the fact that the new chassis is not ready yet.
As far as reliability of the engine itself goes, they do not need a car to test that. That's obvious, cause you can put it on a test rack for weeks and develop it from there.
Of course cooling issues etc. might prove to be different, but CFD modelling should solve that too, really.
So in theory, actually as always, everything looks good on paper. I really hope that it plays out this season, especially for Raikkonen. 8)
