The new reputation system has caused some confusion and the limited details about this in the FAQ means that I'll explain it a little further here.:)

How It Works / Reputation Points

Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.

Reputation Power

When see a post you think has good content, you would add to the user's reputation. If you just started, that would mean giving him one point. If you have considerable experience at the WRF, your addition to a user's reputation would increase according to the following:

For every 365 days you stay at the WRF, you receive 1 Point
For every 500 posts, you receive 1 Point
For every 100 reputation points, you get a 1 Point

You must give reputation points to at least 5 other members before you can give it to another member for the second time.

If your reputation score is below 10, you may not give out reputation points.

An Example

You've read this post and you think it was useful. To reward me, you would click on the white balance / libra symbol on the left above the "Post Reply" button, with a short explanation.

Because the system is unpopular, it has been disabled. If you have any ideas regarding the system, or you think it should be re-enabled, please share your views with the WRF community in this thread :)
