My first compliments to the FIA, they got a pretty interesting qualifying rule going on, and from the looks of the first qualifying its working pretty well for both the drivers and the spectators. The drivers are constantly busy, and the spectators are on their feet. I was doubting the whole system would work really but looks like things went pretty smoothly.

Apart from the third session I enjoyed the new qualifying.:) They need to lose the fuel burn part.

Yea, the third segment (fuel burn part) is really a waste of time.

But to tell you the truth, I still would prefer the original 1 hour qualifying with a maximum of 12 laps. But instead of an hour, it should be 30 minutes with a maximum of 9 laps. That would be amazing :D

Personally, I like the fuel burn stage because it gives me a chance to get over the last two sessions.

I don't like too much fun all at once.

Make it 30 minutes like Jo said, but 9 laps is too little, just no limitation, they dont have time to waste anyway they'll need to get constantly get out of the garage. Of course i'll let you guys bring out the faults of this idea, lol.

I still prefer the new system for quailifying. Nothing that anybody here has said has changed my mind.

What I like about the new system is that in the first session, teams at the bottom of the field have time in the spotlight, along with the big teams and in session 2 the midfield teams get to have some time in the sun.:)

In the old way of doing it the focus was just on the top teams unless someone made a mistake. :(

I like the new system better too myself. Qualifying has usually been kind of boring to watch - most people just stared at everything with a glazed look. Hopefully this new system will make things much more entertaining than simply watching cars drive around against the clock.
