Question Rookie Question on BATracer Race Fuel

Being a rookie sux. Most of my questions are stupid ones. I figure I might not be the only one so post your stupid rookie questions here with mine.

***My first question is, is fuel a part of the BATracer strategy? What I mean is has anyone run out of fuel, and what types of lap distances can you go on fuel? I was under the impression that you would need to factor that in but it seems that it more about the tire distance. I would love to make a 1 stop on hard tires in every race if fuel isn't a factor. Thanks

You can't run out of fuel, it's not programmed into BATracer. It doesn't mean much in most series but would be a nice feature in F1 1986.

Thanks!! That might just change my strategy significantly. I had been using the current F1 rules in my decisions. I was setting up based on the required use of both hard and soft tires in a race and figured in fuel. I've since stopped with the tire thing. I've run all softs, all hards etc. I maay just run another 1 stopper in my next F1 race.

1 stoppers in F1 2007 usually don't work. The time penalty for you with running on heavy fuel load is too hard. 2 stoppers are the way to go and sometimes even 3 stoppers.

    Another rookie question.

So I'm looking at my setup and I'm wondering.....What is low medium and high as far as the sliders. I was thinking on a 1-100 scale that medium would be 50 but that doesn't seem to be the case.

That's just part of the wonderful BATRacer experience. Medium in my eyes is anywhere between 30 and 70. There is PLENTY of grey area for med-low and med-high. It just takes a little (ok a lot) of experimentation.

Now, If something doesn't go right for me soon in ANY of my games, I think I might just go postal... BATRacer and I aren't getting along very well lately.

I've noticed that medium is a HUGE range. I haven't been doing all that great. I was up into p2 in champ b4 falling way back. Maybe it was A1GP

I start doing those "medium" setups in range of 40-60, depending on the track and weather conditions. Most important thing when doing setups is to do them systematically, recommended style is to narrow them in units of 16-8-4-2. So if you start at 40 and advice is to increase setting, then you move the slider up by 16 or 8 units. When you hit the value of 70 and advice is still to increase, then it might be wise to use 4 or 2 unit step coz it will be at "high" value soon.
