The Best Selling Car of All Time

I'm not sure which one it is, but it's either the Volkswagen Beetle or the Toyota Corolla. Anybody have an idea? :?

just to add to this.. The best selling sports car of all time is the small but fun to drive Mazda MX-5. I think its around 1 million but I am not sure...

Yea, you're right. The Mazda Miata (also known as the MX-5) was produced more than 600,000 times since it's introduction in 1989.

I'm not sure how much it costs, but it probably was cheaper than other sports cars of its class.

Well then i think you could ask the opposite question of what the least sold car is?

Well the McLaren MP4/18 never raced

But seriously, the least sold car? You could argue that a car that reached the prototype stage, only to be scrapped, is a car that never sold.

If you would look at reliability, there are many cars that developed a notorious reputation for breaking down all the time or even 'driving themselves to the dealership'

In fact the Renault R5 Turbo, built in the 80s, has been referred to as the 'least sporty, most poorly constructed car' ever sold in America!

No way. Not at that price. Look at how many Vettes you see vs. how many Honda civics you see in one day. That and we're talking world wide. Those American cars have no chance outside the US.

This is an old thread, I just saw a "google spider" looking at it so I was curious. I still figured the cars I mentioned would be up there, even the camaro would be high I thought too.

    Mushrooms...Funny..

But in all honesty, I love this place and I have fun on this forum but it seems like Im always the odd one out on favorite series, cars, and especially drivers...

I try and boost up the knowledge and material in the IRL and NASCAR threads. But I also want to thank everyone for accepting, liking me, and putting up with me...
