Thread: Harleys

My whole family seems to own a Harley. Well, except for us... My husband is dying to buy one but right now we can't afford one.

Does anyone drive a Harley? How long have you owned it?

I don't, then again I am not into motorcycles. I like 4 wheels! My dad has a Harley and he has a Harley since I was a young girl. My grandfather always had a Harley too.
I've rode on it with my dad and my gramps, but I've never owned one.

I don't own a Harley. I can see why people would want one though, they are pretty cool. I see less Harley's than other bikes out on the roads though. I bet it's the cost. I'm thinking that Harley's cost more than others?

Yes, Harleys are more pricey from what I can tell. But they are American made (I think entirely, whereas other bikes are not) and it seems like you always pay more for something made in the US of A.

I wouldn't mind a Harley, however if I ever dropped it, I don't think I'd be able to pick it back up again. I may just stick to a scooter

I don't have a Harley either, but a guy I worked with has one and of course he loves it.

I think I've heard that they actually hang on to their value quite well. Do you think that's the case?

Neither myself or spouse have, but we do adore them just not in our price range. We like all bikes (though I prefer "rockets" more than he does). I also like to read up on the history of them too, I guess I am a nerd.

No Harleys for us, although we do tend to like bikes. I would love to get one, but my wife lets me have other thing and for this one we're waiting for the kids to be grown.

My best friend has a bike, but she doesn't like Harleys. She was telling me the other day that more of the younger Harley riders want sports bikes and end up giving a bad name to other bikers. Do you think this is true?

I don't own Harley, but its my dream and passion in life, definitely i'll buy it.
