Thread: What kind of bike?

The bikes look smaller that I see the people on for hill climbs. What kind of bikes do you ride up the steep hills? I would think they would have to be light, as they often fall down on the riders, when the hill is too steep?

Off road dirt bikes are used for hill climbing. They are lightweight with the bare minimum in terms of frame and accessories. In fact, BMW makes their own line of off road bikes designed just for hill climbing.

I have a Kawasaki dirt bike that I use for hill climbing, even though I probably do not do any of the extreme slopes that you see on tv it does get the job done for what I climb.

Most people like to climb with 2-strokes. Dirt bikes come in so many different styles that you have many options. Your build and weight can play on what type of bike you need too.
