About LinkBacksFor the season finale, Champ Car drivers will get an additional jump in the Power-to-pass dept. Currently P2P is 50hp and 60 sec. or use. For the finale they will get an additional 15 sec. (75 total) and 50hp (100hp total)!!
Looks like Champ Car has the right idea just when F1 is going backward.

Champ Car unfortunately need all the boost it can get at the moment.

That would be pretty good for IRL too as it would take IRL out to other countries. They would have to add more races to the schedule and even out the road to oval ratio. Could you imagine P2P in IRL??? Originally Posted by DanicaRules

Yeah, I guess Im stingy, I want to keep more IRL races here in the states so I have the ability to go to them...
I prefer ovals and I sometimes think Im the only one on here that does. I just think ovals are more exciting. As Ive said before, nothing like indycars going 3 wide at 200+ mph around a track!

Actually, Toledo47 is a big-car oval fan. So much so, he comes to Canada a few times a year to watch races
. I tape the ones he goes to (because they're not on US TV) for a momento when he asks.
So no, you're not alone.
The passing on ovals is nothing compared to what you get on a road course. It doesn't matter if they are 5 wide, as long as they're only hundredths(
) of a second apart. One brakes sooner than the other or one has a little more torque. You want 3 wide on a road course? Watch BTCC, AussieV8's, Rolex Sportscars, Porche SuperCup, LaMans... Etc. etc. etc.

I really want to see Champ Car / IRL / F1 combined event. Like a series of races with a couple ovals couple road courses etc.

Either a couple cars from each class on track at once OR take drivers from each series and put them in Champ Cars on Champ tracks, IRL cars on ovals, and F1 cars on F1 tracks, and then score points throughout the series. Originally Posted by saltysurprise
