2 more days till the Houston GP tickets go on sale. I'm going to see what I can do to get mine. $129 for the 3-day pass w/pit passes. I'm going to spend all 3 days there. Friday to get in the pits and check out everything and to harass Dornboos. Sat. for ALMS, and Sun. for Champ Car. I'm looking at staying downtown at a family members house so I can ride the light rail back and forth. I wonder if I can camp there????

It's only 6 months out. They have to create as much buzz and make the tickets avail. here to get people out. They have lowered the prices on the general admission quite a bit. From $75 to now $35 in some cases. That's a $40 discount!! They have to do what they can. It's in the parking lot of Reliant Stadium/Astrodome complex. Should be easy access and all that.

That's very reasonable pricing. I had my tickets for Laguna more than 6 months in advance.

I can't even go see a one hour hockey game for $129! Quest field is only 2 hours away. Think I can even get my hands on a pair of tickets to a Seahawks game for under $400? Noooooo sir.

It's a good price for sure, but I think it underlines the problem that these races are having problems getting people to come.

    Which is bad.

Here is the ticket info. It is defiantly a sign of the troubled times for the series. Part of it is due to the location too. Houston isn't exactly know for racing outside of Houston Raceway Park (Drag Racing)

"Ticket prices for the top-level tickets have remained the same, with the popular 3-day SuperTicket giving fans premium seating and pit passes for all three days for $129. The Grand Prix has lowered ticket prices in other areas to give fans more opportunities to experience the event at affordable prices: Grounds Admission tickets for Sunday have been lowered to $20 from $30, and the lowest-priced reserved grandstand seats have been reduced to $35 from $75."

    "168,259 fans in attendance"

Not bad but in a city with over 2 million people it could be better.

I understand the money thing. If money wasnt an issue, I would be at every IRL race.
