    Snowtime Drifting/Slipping/Sliding

I have watched some serious idiots on my street today who I swear got their license out of a cracker jack box. In the past 24hrs we have gotten a sleet/freeze rain/rain/snow/layer cake deal going on, and I am seeing people out in tiny cars with no weight (I am sure I could pick up the back end that light) tote down the street and then slam on their brakes (I can see when they crest over the hill towards the end, which is a large hill). I see this from my front porch while I am out playing in the mess with my child, but really, who slams on their brakes going down at least a 7% grade on ice.

When the roads get icy I try not to go anywhere, and the area I live is pretty flat. When hills are involved, you are at the mercy of nature and gravity. This video is from a couple years ago, but I'm sure the scenario plays out each winter. I just find it amazing how the cars keep trying to get through the area. YouTube - Sliding car carnage

That's an intense video! We closed things down where I was this weekend due to all the snow/ice/sleet. It was a mess, and people can be so dumb when they drive.
