    Moving to a New Server

    The last couple of weeks Driverdb.com has been extremly slow and even unconnectable at times. This is unacceptable so last night I decided it was time to move from the cheap shared hosting environment my crappy host was offering and go as far as my current budget could stretch. I ended up with a VPS account and have now tested the site on it. It works fine and I hope it will continue to once the DNS move has been properly registered everywhere and people start to flood it with reqeusts.

    There may (and probably will be) be some technical issues with the site the next couple of days as I test every little script on the new server.

    I've been having some DNS problems. My ISP hasn't updated yet and is still pointing to the old server....

    It's hard to know if it's working or not when it takes up to 72 hours for the DNS to update properly....

    When it works and it's pointing to the new server there should be a "A new home"-heading under the three helmets.

    Please let me know if and when you see it.

    The logs show that at least some people have been able to reach the new server...

    Yeah, it's been running a couple of days now and has got back the usual amount of traffic from before the move. It seems to tick along at a pretty reasonable pace now.

    Hopefully I won't grow out of VPS too soon because I think I will have to look pretty darn deep into my wallet to rent a dedicated server.

    Question Rotary shear

    In a rotary shear line in which sheet stock is fed by a feeder to a rotary shear for fly cutting by its rotating cutting edges, a synchronous speed and a synchronization length are calculated by an arithmetic unit which are supplied with the cutting length and the average feed rate of the sheet stock
