    G'Day from Down Under, i.e. Stoner-land

Hello everyone....man, am I glad to have found this forum! I was beginning to think I was the only person interested in motorsport.
It seems that WRF member's IQ is greater than their age, a pleasant surprise indeed!
I have posted in other forums looking for some interest in F1 & MotoGP, got no sensible response at all!
Having read other intro posts, I assure you all, I am house-trained, have clean shoes and my hair would be combed (if i had any).

I am looking forward to "meeting" you all.

Howdy, welcome to the forum! As a Stoner fan I guess you'll enjoy the rest of the season since Stoner finally found the pace he needs and the season is still long.

Feel free to start a thread from last weekend's motoGP at Donington since nothing has been posted yet.

I thank you both for the welcome..DanicaRules, I admire her immensly, she is doing well in a man's world, and FAlonso, I just might do as you suggest....but mate, your faith in that Spaniard is misplaced!
If they don't give him the car to do the job, he'll be off........to where?

I guess every driver wants the best car possible, especially when you won the WDC 2 years in a row against Schumacher in the Ferrari. It would be stupid to change teams now since no one knows which team will adapt best to the massive rule change. Honda is for instance fully focussing on next year and maybe they're the best possible option besides Ferrari and Mclaren but I wouldn't take that risk now.

Alonso should stay another year at Renault for the above reason, also because I think he owes it to the team.
    Some engineers at Renault.
What I don't like is how Alonso behaves towards the team (factory).. I'm sure everyone at Renault is doing all they can to give Alonso the car he needs hoping that he stays at least till next year while Alonso sometimes criticized the team for not working hard enaugh. The way he run into Heidfeld at Monaco and how he lost it at Montreal is just a sign of disrespect to the team. He don't care about the valuable team points but only want to race for podiums and if that isn't possible he'll push untill he screws up out of frustration.

And the pressure at Renault's factory is very high. I read an article a while ago about the factory in France and how 2 or 3 people in a short time committed suicide 2 years ago because of that pressure. Alonso should think about that before accusing the team for not working hard enaugh.

Yeah mate, I agree with you on all accounts, very glad to see you are not one-eyed. He IS good, but flawed by the will to win. He should never have left Renault in the first place..but was his two titles due to the advantage the mass damper gave? If you remember, once it was deemed illegal and removed, (another story) that was the end of Renault's winning streak. Since then, they have been battling.

Haven't you heard? We're talking about renaming this island!
He grew up in my neighbourhood, not that I know him.
Seriously though..Casey has a good chance of winning the title again in MotoGP, and Chris Vermeulen is hitting his stride.

Troy Bayliss in killing 'em in WSBK, with Troy Corser waiting in the wings.

And Casey has shown that it can be done......again........ we won't mention Mick Doohan, don't want to rub salt in the wound!
Mate..the Aussies are on a roll!
