Closes 3rd December
I've gone for Button as he has the best record of the drivers listed. I don't rate Sato as a driver, Speed has yet to prove himself at this level and Webber while a good driver, has yet to get the results on race day.
I go with Webber. Button's victory was product of fortunate circumstances at the right time; Webber did have a genuine shot at Victory at Monaco: he was lapping at the same pace of both Alonso and Raikkonen, and had more fuel onboard. Webber's threat that day was so real, that Renault used a lapped Fisichella to hold the australian for a couple of laps (4 or 5, I don't remember). Also, Webber's raw speed at qualy has always been breath taking... he did managed to get a front row with a Jag!!!
That being said, I am not saying that Button is a bad driver... I think he is very smooth, precise, almost like a surgeon... it is a shame that more often than not, he finds a way to not exploit the full potential of his car (he was lapped by Rubens at Monaco, the "drivers" track...) PLUS I am still "bitter" for the way he treated both BAR and Williams, showing them that he had no honor and no loyalty for anyone other than himself.
Button wins.
As it's the final heat, I'll give everyone a weeks rest.
Jenson Button!
