Thread: Best French Driver?

Obviously Prost, but i give massive props to Panis who was going brilliantly well in the '97 season until his unfortunate crash in Canada. Who is your favorite driver?

yeah Prost. His very good speed was concealed in silky-smooth driving. He was able to look after his tyres, was at one with his car, and had good technical knowledge. His only weakness, and in my opinion damages his claim to be the greatest driver ever, was his poor wet-weather driving.

Alesi was a great driver. I've said before and I'll say it again: it's one of the tragedies of Formula One that he won only a single Grand Prix.

Prost is probably the only French driver I can recall at the moment so he would be the best.

I really admire his driving skills as he was anonymous in the races.
