Thread: Tesco to sponsor Super Aguri?

Tesco apparently have made an aproach to Super Aguri to sponsor them for the 2006 season.

Tesco (Britains number one supermarket) are trying to get further into the Asian market as they already own shops throughout China.

With an all Japanese line up they are hoping to launch a string of new shops there very soon.

Tesco are also opening up shops throughout Europe and America in the coming months.

About this, I think it is something like: "We want to sponsor Honda (because of Button); but the space on their car is very expensive. Instead, they sent us to the B-team"

Other than that, I don't see why anyone would like to sponsor a team that was created with the exclusive purpose of keep the japanese fans "happy" by keeping their driver (i.e. Sato) in F1.
