True, but all the same, it unfortunately IS a spectator sport. I wonder how often drivers get frustrated with rules that are designed to make the sport more enjoyable to watch, rather than to make racing more effective.

I'm sure ALL the drivers get disgusted from time to time with the rules that don't make "racing sense". I know I would. I understand that the leagues (not matter what division) want fans to watch- that is where the money is. They still need to make sure things are safe.

Several teams rebelled last year against the new rules. The problem is, the winners don't like the challenge. Tough. Times have changed, F1. Viewers are going away. Change with the times, or get out.

Yeah, the ever changing rules. I know how frustrated the drivers are, but F1 is not just a race; it's a business. The drivers are part of the business, and they need to do their part.

This is a good view point. If the current situation of F1 will continue then this business will fall because the teams, who actually run this show, are not happy with the new rules. The management should balance what the race teams need and the wants of the audience.
