    FIA makes Monaco circuit changes

    Some minor news i guess...

The FIA has revealed that it has made changes to the two chicanes at the Monaco circuit ahead of the sixth round of the F1 season this weekend.

New higher elements have been added behind the existing kerbs at the Nouvelle Chicane on the exit of the tunnel and at the Swimming Pool Chicane in an effort to reduce the possibility of drivers cutting the corners.

As well as installing new debris fencing at various sections of the circuit, there has also been extensive resurfacing work carried out including the run from St Devote up to the junction of the Avenue de Monte Carlo and the pitlane.

Heres a change idea. Get rid of it as it is one of the most boring races...lol
Seriously, it is so crap, that Tilke could have designed the track. It is a race for posers, not fans.

Monaco has pretty much lost its relevance back in the late sixties, when F1 cars started sprouting all kinds of aero and ground sucking devices, unfortunately because of its "historic" value, we won't see it disappear any time soon, unlike some other venues that the poison dwarf (Ecclestone) does not really care about. French, British, Belgian and USA for instance.
Within a few years the only European races left might only be Monaco and Monza (because of Ferrari), although there might be a race through the Moscow streets (wow, can't wait for that one) along with another lame brain idea, racing through the streets of Rome.

Agreed about the movement of races. It seems that Ecclestone has an affinity for giving races to countries who build sand trap courses with oil money. By the way, anyone see a tree anywhere???
