    Gaming Racing Wheels

I have a mad catz racing wheel that I think is Xbox and PS2 compatible. I forget though. I'm trying to decide on a new wheel for my PC. I have a ps2 to pc adapter now that I use with a ps2 controller to play games. I saw the Logitech G25 for $299 USD but that's alot. Any suggestions?? Should I stick to my Mad Catz??

I may build a simulator type setup out of wood frame of steel tubing. I plan to play rFactor, maybe race 07, if Xbox 360 compatible then the PGR games, Indy car 2005, etc.

I figure somone here has to have a racing wheel.

G25 is the best decent priced wheel out there. Some have say that after playing several years with eg. logitech momo, their laptimes were instantly better with g25.

Yes they do. You can update your Logitech set with Frex gadgets.

Yes, Logitech G25 is by far the best reasonably priced racing wheel on the market.

I've wanted one since before it was released.

    RFactor + G25 = (drool)

I saw a roll cage from a sprint car for sale the other day, cheap. Used of course. That might make a decent 'platform' if someone were so inclined to modify it. That someone won't be me or I'd be in search of a new home.

Her.. "What, the hell... Is THAT ?!?! Get it OUT of here!! You're nearly 40 years old dammit!!"

Me... "Hey! Easy on the 40 stuff! That's like, four and a half years from now!"

Oh jeez... I don't like the sounds of that

I can get a cheap racing seat for $35 at jegs. I want to mount it to a frame and mount the pedals and wheel. Just put that in front of the tv or something. If I had more $$ I'd mount a big LCD to it.

Here we go. An affordable seat/wheel combo. It's called Race Pac. You can find them for around $50 or less.
