Thread: any good racing games?

i was at walmart the other day looking at the racing games, and they were either destruction derby or some sort of offroad type racing, now i do like both of those, but what are some good ole fashioned stock car or even indy car racing games? the best i ever played was forza, but it got old quick.

Any other suggestions?

I think a good game for you is Need for Speed, it is a street racing game, well the game is extremly nice, played it for PC all versions, but I played 1-6 on PS 1 . Well tell me if you want rally games, I will try to find some for you.

there are plenty of good game which are available in the market..Gran Turismo 4,MotoGP 07,Mario Kart Wii,Burnout Paradise and Pole position..are some of the games i would suggest you to get your hands on..

I would recommend to you Grid.

You need a decent spec. computer to play it though and you can play online versus other drivers too.
Really good graphics and if played on a decent computer like I said then it can have good gameplay. Unfortunately for me, I have a good pc, but not a 'decent' one.

I'm guessing you're in America if you're shopping in Walmart otherwise I was going to offer you my disc for a cheap price but it probably wouldn't be worth it.

I love to play racing games.My favourite racing games include all NFS series, Burn Out,F1,Moto GP,Test Drive 6,Demolition racer etc.NFS is the coolest racing game with excellent graphics and control.Racing games give an excellent thrill in playing. 1 2 3 Gooo.....

NFS series is the most exciting racing game ever.I really love it.NFS UG2 has excellent graphics and enjoy drift race a lot.Old game Roadrash is also a good racing game and my all time favourite.

Need for Speed is really, really good and so is the midnight club 2, you should check them out.

Yup Forza is one of the best games I played in XBOX but I heard there would be a good online racing game called CTRacer Online but it's not released yet. If you could still wait for its release, I think it's worth the try coz I would definitely try this one out.

The Need For Speed series used to be the Gold Standard but not anymore.

Grid and Dirt by Codemasters are both excellent and feature different styles and classes of racing. (Grid is very difficult). Also checkout their TOCA series.

Codemasters has undoubtably become the premier producers of racing video games,

The Gran Turismo series, while very pretty no doubt, is boring and too much time is spent just getting a license in order race. Give them a pass.

The Burnout series are great fun, but not strictly racing and more about crashing and smashing cars. Highly addictive and loads of fun.
