Thread: Ever play the racing games?

Do you know what I'm talking about? You know the race car games at the arcade. Some of them you can sit down in and you shift and steer, others are stand up machines and you steer.

I used to love them as a kid. I crashed more than anything. My daughter loves them now.

Anyone play them as a kid or still play them?

I love to play those games when I am at the movies. They are just a great sort of mini escape for just a few moments. I like to pretend like I'm actually good at it!

I still play those games, and I'm 23! I prefer to race against someone, so at arcades I often spend my time convincing other "adult" friends of mine to race me.

I played those racing games with the steering wheel in an arcade a few times when I was a kid. After I had my own children, I have spent many hours playing Super Mariokart on the Nintendo. I have been looking for a game similar to that for their XBox 360, but haven't found one yet.
