    Viso's Huge GP2 Crash

This isn't really the way to make your GP2 comeback. Thankfully Viso's ok and as far as I know no marshalls were injured.

From the looks of it Viso didn't notice the yellow flags and ran into the car in front who was letting go of the gas. That's my non-professional guess anyway.

Yikes! That can't be good. I didn't notice the pit guy getting nailed until the second time I watched it. Another example of why I think some circuits neet to be widened in spots. OUCH! The concrete barrier he took a ride on seems a little redundant. Why right there? C'mon.

    It's early, what do I know*shrugs*

That is one nasty accident. He was really lucky, because his head was only inches away from the barrier. I'm glad he's alright

Good thing no marshals were at these particular points at the barrier, otherwise it would have probably been fatal. Very scary crash

I thought the first accident was the "huge crash" until I saw the second one.

Here is a quote from Bat Racer news articles,

The race was stopped for nearly an hour while medical crews attended to Viso, who had appeared to have struck the concrete barrier with his helmet

Man I had a hell of a race weekend. Only thing I missed was F1 so now I have to wait till Friday to catch the replay. I got to watch this GP2 race. Very eventfull. It was nice to see some smart drivers at the start. I mean what better way to block row 2 then to crash each other all in the way. Damn that was dumb. The pit crewman was lucky as hell that he wasn't seriously injured. I think the front left was up some and that partially saved him from further injury. Then there was that crash. OMFG!! I'm glad that wasn't as bad as it could have been. Those marshalls must have messed themselves!! Pretty good race over all. I watched the Chap Car race as well and I guess since it was my first time to see both series they were giving me a show.

In 1995 Marco Campos was killed at Magny Cours during the F3000 season finale. I seem to rembmer that his accident was somewhat similar to this. Viso was extremly lucky.

For some reason it decided I didn't need to watch F1 on FOX. Damn technology. Oh well. Still have Friday on SPEED. Hehehe
