    GP2 Asia Round 1 Dubai

    The first race of the GP2 Asia series is on today.

    Yes, it is the winter season of GP2 Series, oriented to the Asian market.
    BTW, Grosjean won by miles! Senna also did a superb race, no doubt that the two will be title contenders.
    Excellent performance for both Meritus cars too.

    It wasn't the most exciting race ever seen, but watching single seater racing during the "winter break" makes up for it by far.

    Grosjean is certainly up to speed quick, although I didn't really doubt that. Senna and Soucek put on a good show and the "battle" between Filippi and Tahinci when Tahinci was being lap was entertaining. Filippi was waving like a mad man but Tahinci just didn't get out of the way. Loved the way the Eurosport commentators called Tahinci's place in GP2 as a "waste of space".

    Did Jelley have some sort of a problem? He was almost going in reverse.

    With the reversed grid for the sprint it will surely be interesting with Senna and Grosjean starting 7th and 8th.
