Ocean Racing Technology wants to shine at night

Qatar will host the next round of the GP2 Asia Series
http://www.flagworld.com/photos/d/32...Technology.jpgOcean Racing Technology is eagerly looking forward to this new challenge next weekend, a new challenge not only for them but for the entire GP2 Asia Series because the 4th and 5th races of the championship will take place at night on the circuit of Losail, in Qatar for the very first time.

The director of Ocean Racing Technology, Tiago Monteiro, impatiently awaits this next event after several hitches that have prevented his team from showing its full potential despite their lack of experience in the GP2 Series.

?Qatar will be a double challenge. It will be the first time that the GP2 series will run at night and I am sure it will be spectacular. It is an honour for Ocean Racing Technology to be able to share in this great first. Like most off the teams, we don? t know the track and the few people who have already visited there came back with a very positive impression.
?Our project is stronger and stronger and we can almost guarantee that Fabrizio Crestani will contest the entire GP2 Asia series with us and Yelmer Buurman will also stay with us.

?We are very motivated because after two weekends where we could really only fight in one race, we are keen to see the drivers clock up more kilometers and show what the team?s real potential and who knows, maybe even secure some points,? Tiago Monteiro said.

By continuing with the same two drivers, the Portuguese team is hoping to continue the excellent work carried out in the two preceding rounds where their two cars were competitive and where Buurman had lapped at the same pace as the best in the series.

The Dutchman is confident that the coming weekend will be see further improvement and could even hold some surprises.

?It will be different for us for several reasons. Running at night raises several question marks. You need to have some good reflexes, which could complicate our race, but it will be new for everybody and I? m not too concerned about it. I don?t know the track but I?m confident that after free practice we will be okay and ready for qualifying and the race,? Yelmer Buurman said.

For Fabrizio Crestani, the coming races will be the perfect chance for him to continue his adaptation to the cars in the GP2 Asia Series. The Italian has already proven that he is fast, especially after going from 25th to 17th in Bahrain, a circuit where it is very difficult to overtake.

?We are improving and especially for me this will be an important weekend, as this is a new circuit for almost everybody and I will be able to show my pace. I will do my best so that we can achieve a good result,? Fabrizio Crestani assured.

The two races of Qatar will be broadcasted by Eurosport, Friday at 16:00 PM (UK Time) and at 5:00 PM on Saturday. At the moment the weather forecast indicates that the sun will be shining and the maximum temperature will be 23?C.

It's in Qatar for the first time, but this event could be the decider of whether it will be held their in the future. The event organisers need to take extra care.

Extra care indeed. I honestly don't feel it'll be held there again. Just my guess.

i think that GP 2 Asia series is going to held in Qatar for the first time and this would be a decider race to decide that will this series going to held there again or not and considering the weather i dont think that it'll happen again.
