GP2 pretty expensive

While viewing a video clip from F2 series promoter Jonathan Palmer he mentioned that the FIA was looking for a cheap alternative for drivers when planning for the F2 series as GP2 is a bit on the expensive side.

To get a GP2 seat with a winning team you would have to spend £1.5 million. That's $2.1 million for a season of GP2! It sure costs a bit if you're going to get the attention of the F1 teams.

a CHEAP GP2 season will cost about 100.000.00 euros and in a good team will its coast 200.000.00 euros. That´s sick but if you want to go the whole way than you need to drive GP2 or World Series By Renault 3.5. Like Vettel he come from World Series to F1 or Algesuari also.

The price tag is why sponsors are so important in so many venues these days. When most of these drivers were starting, out none of them could afford that type of money.

I was just going to say that Mancino. The sponsors are where these teams get their money to fund their teams. That is why it is so important to have someone to find someone to sponsor you.
