Danica not ready to decide about her future til october.
I guess theres no hurry to sign when you are Danica Patrick. It's one of the beauties about being one of the top drivers (maybe not on the track but as far as cash cows, yes).
Her likely free agency at the end of the IndyCar Series will make her a hot commodity among teams in the open-wheel series and NASCAR."To be very open about anything until that point would be foolish. That's for after the season and we'll worry about it then."
Is she Nascar bound? Patrick has said in the past that if she were to make the move to NASCAR, she'd want it to be a lateral move, meaning she would move directly into a full-time Sprint Cup ride.

She would figuratively crash and burn in NASCAR, its such a completely different type of racing that I doubt she would even be able to qualify at all during the whole season. If she wants to try something different, she should try sports cars (ALMS, Rolex serie), or stay in IRL. F1 is another non starter for her.
I read something that she might move over to Ganassi, that might give her an opportunity to dip a toe into NASCAR and or Sports cars, since Ganassi is involved with just about anything with 4 wheels.

I think she would find NASCAR challenging but she may pull it off though. Guess time will tell one way or another.

Danika finished fifth for the season which isn't bad at all. I wonder if this will help her make a decision or make the decision to move harder.

Bring her over to Formula 1. She would make history being the first ever female driver, would certainly boost the attendance and viewing figures.

You know, I'm actually sick and tired of Danica's games. I applaud her efforts as being the first driver to get as far as she has in IndyCar, but she's really exploiting the game now, and I'm tired of it. She is using NASCAR as a ploy. The only way she'll go there is if she stops driving Indy. I think it's a mistake. She can't handle NASCAR.

I recall Lella Lombardi racing F1 about two to three season back in the mid seventies. They were a few other previously, can't recall any other names, actually I think Desire Wilson did some F1, but Lombardi was the longest lasting in F1.
As far as Danica is concerned I stand by my opinion that she would be a failure and the only thing she would bring to F1 (beside her huge ego) is the babe factor.

I agree-- she's most likely to do the best by staying where she is. My wife loves her, but I think she's obnoxious. She seems to get a lot of talk, just because she's female.

She has potential; she's better than a lot of females before her, but she's not a sweet cookie. I don't mean to say she's mean or anything, but she's business savvy, and she's using her brain to get her further than others have.

The issue is that "the babe factor" will only work for so long and it really does bother more females that most notice. It is great for the things she has accomplished, but if she can not pull her own weight she needs to bow out politely.
