    IndyCar's Power Boost

I mentioned something like this over in the F1 section, but in watching IndyCar this weekend, I realized that they, too, have a power boost button. It recycles and takes about 10 seconds to do so.

Do you like knowing the drivers can press a button and get a bit of a rocket thrust out of their cars?

I really don't think it matters since they all have it...It's not really an advantage if they all have it, so I don't see how it could be unfair. It just makes the race more competitive because they have to learn the best strategy on how to use it.

I agree with that NHRAfan. It's available to all the drivers they just have to learn to maximize it's effectiveness. I guess new technology is changing everywhere...even in our race cars!

Yeah, I guess so. I know in the race I watched this weekend, there was a battle for position and both drivers were using it. One of them did pass the other, but like you said, they all have it.

Talking about a power boost button reminds me of old racing cartoons where at the last minute the driver would press a button and leave everyone else in the dust.
