    The Month of May

IndyCar had their one race this weekend and now they have four weeks to prepare for the Indy 500. Now I know the Indy 500 is like the premier race of races, but isn't a month's time a little ridiculous?

A month may be a little long to have to prepare but I am sure there are many things to set in place. Making sure the drivers are in optimal health and well rested as well as giving the mechanics and such plenty of time to work on the cars.

Actually, the opening of the events surrounding the Indy 500 have started later in the month this year. This year the cars and drivers did not move into the race track until Saturday, May 15th. Usually they move in the first weekend in May. There are a lot of events held at the speedway all month long culminating in the big race at the end of the month. Indy does it up good in promoting the Indy 500.
