Thread: Franchitti Wins Indy 500

Dario Franchitti hangs on to win second Indianapolis 500 - Racing - SI.com

Did anyone watch this? Franchitti won back in 2007 due to rain and it being flagged so I am sure he feels better about this win. What do you guys think about this win?

Franchitti drove a good race yesterday. Despite the fact that I am a Dan Wheldon fan and would have loved for him to have had the opportunity to take the lead at the end, I thought Franchitti deserved the victory.

I always like Franchitti and was saddened when he left for NASCAR, but glad he realized his mistake before being forgotten as an also ran in that series.
I did not watch the Indy 500 (working) and did not bother taping it, in my mind a lot of the luster has gone from the race.
Having said that, I'm glad Franchitti won and would have been equally happy if Tony Kanaan would have won, can't thing of two nicer guys and talented drivers in the IRL.
