The race started a little after midnight on Saturday and after 13 1/2 hours, mainly due to two red flag situations, the 12 hour was a spectacular first time indoor/outdoor karting endurance event with Team Racer-X taking the win over BSH Racing from Oregon and Team Understeer from Dromo. The race was run indoor and outdoor but due to heavy rain had to be moved to an all indoor event. The race lead was changed several time and the top three teams were separated by 3 seconds into the 9th hour of the race.
The winning group, Team Racer-X, sponsored by BGB Motorsport Group and Deans Ultra Plugs had six on their crew:
Patrick Long (Penske Porsche Factory Driver)
Craig Stanton (ALMS)
Diego Morales
Robin Deans
Jon Kimbrell
Efrain Olivares
Craig Stanton (ALMS)
The charity raised over $15,000 for Make-A-Wish foundation and even though the All Star pro team did not make the podium this time, they did help raise the money for a great cause. Check out the press release here:
