This weekend, New Castle Motorsports Park will host the Stars of Karting Race of Americas. Drivers from the East and West will do battle in Indiana. Watch for Gary Carlton to continue his winning streak in ICC. Jordy Vorrath has been very fast too and will most likely give Carlton a run for his money. This weekend will also feature the return of Italian Motors pilot, David Jurca, to the seat. Jurca is currently leading the points in the Jetta TDI cup after a win at Mosport.

According to early reports from ekartingnews, the paddock was highly damaged due to storms passing over night. The New Castle area was hit very hard with high winds and rain, tornado warnings were frequent throughout the night. I've heard mixed reports that several team's tents and equipment were complete losses. The schedule is running about two to three hours behind as Stars of Karting officials gave everyone time to regroup this morning.

Gary Carlton unofficially wins the first three heat races in ICC after qualifying on pole.

Carlton drops out of Final 1 with a Mechanical DNF after a near perfect weekend ....

Carlton and Vorrath are both out early due to engine failures. A tough venture for Carlton after posting the fastest times all weekend ...only to have a mechanical DNF in both finals.
