    Engin eproblems....help please

Me and a few of my buddies pulled an old kart out of the garage. we cleaned the gas tank, drained the oil, put on a new spark plug and it fired up. However, now after ripping around on it a few times the kart keeps stalling out, especially when you are at a dead stop and hit the throttle or take a sharp turn too fast. The engine runs pretty choppy overall. Carb need cleaning you think? Any help would be appreciated. The engine is a briggs and stratton 5hp. Thanks

I'd check the carb and the fuel lines. Also the fuel pump may be intermittent

The carb for sure! Had the same thing happen to me actually. Once I cleaned the carb it ran a little choppy for a bit but then ran smooth.

That sounds like one of two things

    Restricted Air Flow
    Wrong Carb Settings/Blocked Carb

Hey guys thx for the replies. Since my last post i took the carb and gas tank off and and gave them a good cleansing and replaced the gaskets as well. It was running ok, but after cruising around the other day it all of a sudden start bogging out, then eventually fully stopped running on me. Now it just gurgles when i try to start it. If i spray starter fluid it fires but runs super choppy and cuts out after 10-20 secs. Im a novice with this stuff so any other help would be much appreciated. Thanks...

it has happened many times to my friend so i suggest you to just check the fuel line and just give it some cleansing and also take out the gas tank if there is any and check it if there is any leakage.

Just clean the fuel lines & that will solve your problem.
If you still find problems then you can contact the mechanic for more guidance.
