Kart Builders

I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever built their own kart? My brother built a kart once. Of course, it wasn't racing quality by any standards but he enjoyed doing it.

No I have not but I know some people that would like to get into it, nothing pro, mostly for fun but we all have our hobbies right? And we all can not go pro even though the dream is still there.

I have not built one personally, but I have helped a friend build one. It was not for pro-racing either, but it sure was fun watching him build it.

If you want to race in big classes you need to buy a homologated kart but if you just want to drive on streets ofcouse u dont need. You can build your own kart and race with it but i will dont work so good i think. But if you want to race bought you a kart

Where do you start in making karts? I haven't tried making a racing kart on my own but I would love to try this. Do you build the framework all by yourself or have it done by someone else?

That would be an amazing project to take on with a friend or sibling, I think. I've actually thought about it, but need the space, time, money...just about everything to get started, hehe. If someone gave me something to start with, I might be more motivated.
