How can we become a professional driver for kart racing? It seems to me that kart racing is a very simple race but what skills should we develop for us to be in a professional kart race?

you shoud get some info.. kart racing is a grund to become a big racing driver. ofcourse you can do it for fun in some national series. If you want do it international and like a f1 driver in kart you need a lot of money or a lot of talent and money. the biggest series is the WSK Winning Series Karting ( www.wskarting.com) with klasses like KF3,KF2,KF1(no gearbox) or KZ2,KZ1 (with gearbox) and you said kart racing is easy, you dont know some thing about kart racing i see. kart racing isnt easy but you can lean it and it will be easy after a long time. i have drive kart in 6 years and began when i was 9 year old. if you are older then 6-9 years and began with karting its to late to do a big carriar in racing. when you are 12-13 you will need to drive in international classes like KF3(13-15) KF2(15-17) and the biggest KF klass in europe KF1 we call it the king class in this class can you just get into if you have done some grat results in KF3 and KF2 like won world campionship or WSK.

And you havent a big chance to be a profecional driver in US you need to go to europe but in US can you try..

So kart racing is really popular in Europe? I think I've seen promos for some kind of kart racing close to me but I've never been to one. I might have to check into it because my kids would probably love it.

It really doesn't seem hard but apparently it requires a lot of skill. My dad had a friend who's grandson did kart racing and he was like 8! I wish I had kart raced when I was 8...

i did my first race when i was 9 years old (2004) and 2010 is might my last year in karting. ofcourse you can begin when you are 20 years old but you havent a chance to go into formula cars or cars. So how old are you childs ? and you shoudnt begin in karting if you havent the money to drive bigger classes international. Carlos Sainz Jr payed 11.000 Euros /weekend to drive Winning Series Karting (world biggest karting serie) in KF3 you coud drive national but dont go International without money. My friend tried that but he didnt get eingens so he coud win.. so he gived up after 3 races

My son is eight and this is his first year in kart racing. He is just racing locally at this time but he aspires to one day race the sprint cars just like his dad.
