Thread: Auto Bailout

With the big three asking for 25B, are u for or against the bailout? Id support the bailout if they fired management and restructured the union deals.

(I do have a little bit of a personal stake in this whole situation, my dad is retired from Ford)

I am definitely for it. Having experienced what happens to a community once a Ford plant closes first hand, it would be an absolute disaster if that were to happen all over the country. It is not just the employees at the auto factories and their suppliers that are effected, it has a huge effect on the schools (huge loss in tax revenue), hell it even effects local hospitals. Sure the management hasn't been the best, but at least now you can say that they are making more efficient cars.

well Ford seems to be in the best shape. They are bringing alot of their best European sellers to the US. They are supposed to launch 2 more hybrids tomorrow. GM I have no idea where that company is going.
