    Nissan plant to shed 1,200 jobs

    Car manufacturer Nissan has announced it is to axe about a quarter of the workforce at its Sunderland plant in the UK. Nissan?s Sunderland factory today took the biggest jobs blow yet of the current crisis in the British car industry when 1200 positions were cut.

    I also read that Toyota has stopped production at their Japanese plants.
