My friend was at CES and told me it was pretty much dead. Im glad I didnt go this year, even though Vegas is always a fun place!

This means that even companies are sending less reps to check out the competition and consumers are less than ready to spend money on new gadgets. I think that the reduction in spending is hitting the corporate world and this is a symptom. People and business are in survival and function mode, not growth.

It's really kind of sad. There are waves to be made in the field of consumer technology. I guess the theme of 2009 so far is doing 'more with less'.
