    Demolition Derby

How many of you have ever been to a demolition derby?

I like to attend demo's. It's so much fun to watch the cars smash into each other.

My husband and I took our kids to one at the State Fair several years ago. They loved it and so did I. It's amazing how something as destructive as a that can bring such joy to people! lol

This is something I have never been to but would love to attend. I have never heard of any in my area though as soon as I do I am there!

Oh yes, you do have to check it out. It is awesome! It really does get the adrenaline going. Sometimes it can be quite comical as well.

When I was a kid I remember demolition derbies being advertised at the local stock car track, but I never actually saw one.

I do remember one driver's car hitting another's in a regular race, which may have been a bit of a promotional scheme for the demo derby.

I love demolition derbys. We used to attend them all the time as a family. I also enjoyed the Figure 8 stock car races. You could usually see some pretty good bang ups there and the excitement of the near misses really got adrenaline pumping.

Up to 3 years ago, my husband participated in demolition derbies 3 times a year. Man it was super scary! It was fun to watch him get the cars ready, but not fun to see him out there on the track getting hit.

They just don't make cars like they used to anymore. They used to be tough built and could withstand hard hits.

I always loved to watch the busses in the demo's... ever been to watch them?

I've never been to a demo derby. What's the best part? Are the busses during the actual derby? I can't imagine what that would be like.

I have seen one live but watched countless on TV and Online. If I had not been in a wreck years ago I am sure I would enjoy it, but really, I would rather never again get whip lash in my entire life.
