    Travelling for the Holidays?

Are you going anywhere for Christmas? I just took a place across the country, but I know some people will be driving long distances. How do you prep your car for a long-distance winter trip?

If I am lucky I will not need to travel far, but I will have to travel (still in the same state). We always tend to visit the close family because the four of us are the only ones in the same state. Everyone else is at least three states over.

My parents will be coming to my place for Christmas so I don't have to do any traveling.

I know the stress you get from driving long distance trips. Whenever I do this kind trip, I make sure that my car is in perfect shape. Nobody wants to be stranded in the middle of nowhere because the car broke down.

I am lucky in that all my family (the ones we see anyway) live very close to here so we don't have to do any major traveling.

This year I won't be traveling, but I actually wish that I were. Last year we traveled 12 hours by car and I'd give anything to be going there again with family.

Wow, you guys must have found some pretty awesome ways to stay entertained for you to actually want to go on a 12-hour trip by car!

Nope we will be here for Christmas. I refuse to travel on Christmas. I think it is important to be home for the holidays. I want my daughter to be home to celebrate.

I do not know many people who would be willing to drive 12 hours either, most I know would fly if they had to, esp. with the weather the east coast has gotten this past weekend. Travel even on a normal day would be one thing but winter weather travel is not nearly as fun.

Ha. No. It's not about the entertainment and the people-- it's more that we were all together at Christmas and I'd love to have that again.
