    Texting While Driving

Accidents have risen because of texting or calling while driving. Do you turn off your cellphones when you are driving? Do you receive incoming calls or answer text message while in the middle of the road?

My cellphone is always turned on even though while I'm driving. But when I need to receive a call, I always pull over and stop. I never answer text messages while I'm driving, I answer them when I reach my destination.

My phone is on while I drive but whether I answer it or respond to texts depends on the situation. If I'm stuck in traffic I might do it, but otherwise I usually just answer as soon as I've stopped driving.

Never, and I am happy its a law in so many places. I even see cops doing this its almost insane to think they are enforcing the law for some but not following the same damn rules themselves.

It's a NY State law of no texting when driving. You also have to have a hands free device to use the phone. If you get caught driving and texting or talking without a hands free device, it's a ticket.

I don't get many texts, but I pull over when I get a call. There's recently been a change in the laws in this area against operating a phone while driving, and I think that's great.

It is against the law here as well you must have a hands free device and texting while driving is illegal...too bad no one follows the rules!
