Thread: Boyfriends!

My daughter is 13 and she is boy crazy! So that means I am going crazy! She wants to go to the movies with her "boy friend". I told her NO! She can go to the movies with a group of friends, but not just 1 boy.

Am I crazy? Am I being too hard on her?

My mother felt the same way when I was 13, and I can understand why. I think you're being fair about letting her go with a group of friends; tell her to make it a "group date" and you'd be being more lenient than my mother was!

I thought I was being pretty nice. My parents didn't let me group date at that age. She will learn someday when she has kids of her own. That will be over 15 years from now though!

Nope! You are absolutely right 13 is too young to be "dating" by herself. Hang in there it'll get better just maybe not until after she's 18!
