Driving under the influence of drugs

Have you ever experienced it? I never drove after taking drugs, but I ever rode motorbike under the influence of (prescribed) drugs. And that's really bad. I felt sleepy and I was not aware there was a bike rider in front of me....

Cough syrups can cause drowsiness so don't ever drive if you take them. Have someone drive you home if you have taken medicines that make you sleepy or drowsy.

Luckily where I live people are allowed to ride in the backs of trucks, so my boyfriend and I take turns being the designated driver for our group of friends and simply let everyone sit in the back of the truck as we drop them all off.

I have never driven under the influence of anything but common sense. I don't and have never done drugs or alcohol. They are bad all the way around.

Thanks for the advice. It was not a cough syrup that I took, they were anti-allergic drugs. I read that such drugs make me drowsy when taken. I just didn't think that it's right.
