Thread: Surprise!

So I had today scheduled to work and since I freelance most times its not an issue if something pops up but really this month has been killer for me. What happens at noon today, or should I say yesterday?

Phone call, someones birthday and I *have* to go, great fine, pack up everything and everyone and head off. I get home at 11PM and just get started with some work, my email breaks, my house is wrecked (still) and I have tried to sleep for an hour now and gave up. What happened to normal life, is that only for the Brady Bunch?

Wow! I think you and I have the same life. I have a job where I pretty much pick my hours. They call and tell me what shifts are available and I tell them if I can work. I started the week with only have 6 hours scheduled. As of Sunday, I will have 50 hours. Oh my gosh, I will be glad when this week is over.

My life has gotten so hectic nowadays that the computer is the only thing I do to relax. It seems like I am always on the go, even on the weekends. Sometimes I think the world has come too far and we need to go back to simpler times somehow.

Wow Creg your life sounds a lot like mine too. Why is it that when you work from home people think that means you can get up and go do anything at anytime? I still have deadlines to meet you know?

Isn't that normal? :} Life is one crazy thing. I spent yesterday on the phone, dealing with separate issues, about two hours each. Government red tape -- yuck.

Yes normal life is only for the Brady Bunch! Unfortunately in our go go 24/7 world the craziness we all describe IS the new normal!

Today was a super busy day for me. I am glad it's time for bed as I am pooped sitting here playing on the computer. I hope tomorrow is better for everyone! Slooooowwww down!
