Thread: Other Driving Tickets

I have been lucky enough to have not gotten any speeding tickets, but I did get a ticket once that was utterly ridiculous in my opinion. My then 13 year old son and I had just pulled out of my grandmother's driveway when I noticed he hadn't buckled yet. We had just pulled out on the road and I looked over and told him to buckle up right now. He buckled up immediately and wouldn't you know it, I glanced up in my rear view mirror and saw the blue lights flashing.
I was pulled over because the city cop had seen my son buckle up. We had not even been on the road for more than a few seconds when my son buckled up and we still got pulled. It was at the end of the month when our local cops are always trying to get their quota in. So, there was no talking my way out of that ticket. Luckily, I went to the police chief the next day and he threw it out. have any of you ever gotten a ticket for something silly like this? I could see his point if we had been on the road for several minutes without being buckled, but this was just a waste of time when he could have been out catching a real criminal.

I didn't get a ticket but I did get pulled over by the highway patrol for not having my headlights on at dusk...I had been on the road for all of 2 seconds when he pulled me over...literally the guy saw me pull out of the driveway!

I got a ticket for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. The officer had pulled someone over on a two lane highway. There was oncoming traffic so I could not pull over into the other lane. According to the officer I should have stopped in the middle of the road or pulled over behind him. How ridiculous!

I have gotten one ticket in my entire life. I was going 10 miles over the speed limit and it was a motorcycle cop who was hiding in the bushes. I was so mad at myself!!
