    GP of Catalunya

It's the GP of Catalunya, Spain which is the home grand prix of Jorge Lorenzo and things doesn't go his way lately. He suffered another big crash during testing yesterday and it doesn't look good.

Doctor Xavier Mir of the University Institut Dexeus in Barcelona commented as follows:
`I can confirm that Lorenzo will not be able to compete this weekend, after the tests done here at the Institut Dexeus confirmed the following injuries:
`1. He suffered head trauma and lost consciousness. We made a neurological examination with a CAT scan and an MRI scan and from this we can confirm that there is no cranial haemotoma or haemorrage. However, he now needs to stay under observation for between 48 and 72 hours to see how this develops.
    2. He sustained an injury to the 4th and 5th finger on the right hand, where he has lost some skin. He also has an abrasion of the extensor tendon. We need to see how this develops but it could be possible that he needs a small skin graft.?
    Daniele Romagnoli, Team Manager
`Unfortunately today Jorge suffered another crash and it's clear that the luck is not with him at the moment. This morning we had a good session and things were going very well, we'd found a good base set up from which to work and we were quite happy with our progress. Then this afternoon started well but sadly after four laps we had another crash when Jorge lost the front at turn 11. He was going 130 km/h so it was quite a fast crash, but we checked the data and we can't see that he made any particular mistake. We were trying some different tyres and bike settings from the morning and we were feeling quite happy about how things were going so it's a great pity. Luckily he's avoided any further injury to his ankles, but the head injury means that he must undergo a period of rest and not take any further risks. We are very disappointed for Jorge, but the important thing now is that he has some rest and takes time to recover properly.?

    Oh man! Not again!?!

Poor kid can't catch a break. Or perhaps I should re-phrase that He's had plenty of 'breaks' lately. I imagine he's got a pretty good concussion.

How much can a person take before they say enough is enough? I'm amazed at his dedication, but really.. He's going to end up dead if this keeps up. If it were me having gone through what he's gone through in the past couple of months, I'd be bloody terrified to get on a bike again and go ripping around a track me thinks.

These guys are the toughest, and bravest (perhaps even the craziest) of them all IMO.

Like Rossi's retro style bike .. mind the soccer tenue.

I won't talk about any results yet.

Hahahaha!! Thanks It was my dumb that got me last time

Yeah the whole get-up was to show his Italian Footballers some love. I think they played tonight

Dani was En Fuego!! Jet fuel?? I dunno, but I think he had an 8 second gap at one point, and that was barely half way through the race! Unbe-freakin'-lievable!!

Vale was brilliant It's just amazing to see what he can pull out of his hat His battles with Casey were classic!
I'm also impressed by Toseland's finish. These next two races, Donington and Assen, you just might find him on the podium. Or at least top 5

Pedrosa was indeed on a league of his own. Especially the first 7 or 8 laps. Thats the advantage you have for driving a home GP.

Rossi had troubles to get to pace during quali and also at the start of the race but showed again why he's a multi world champion by outbraking one after the other. Also when he passed Stoner 2 laps from the end and created a small gap even though Stoner's bike was much faster on the straight.
