    La Haine

La Haine (Hate) is also one of, if not, the best movies ever. Subtitled of course. It B&W and French so you get to read (unless you speak French). A group of youths have a friend that is beaten badly by the police resulting in riots. The movie takes place in the volitile environment during the riots. There are many events that increase the level of unrest and the tension builds.

American cinema went stagnant years ago. Hollywood has basically killed most of the REAL creativity out there. (For the most part) I watched a bunch of subtitled movies all together and really got used to the reading part. I would forget to read sometimes because I was so into the story. I find having to read it makes you pay more attn. to the story.
